Helloooooo
A bunch of stuff happened since my last note!
My cousin Ria(aka Yabi) came to visit SoCal for a couple of days. Because of her, I now know that there are such islands called Turks and Caicos Islands, haha. But those days were fun. I hung out with my Abanto family a little bit, and we even played Scene It, Harry Potter Edition. That was fun. :) Father's day was also spent with Abantos. Same fun stuff, and of course good food!! Oh yeah, and my cousin Diana came to visit too! So a lot of family involvement this past month.
Job hunting has been tough. Outlook isn't really good either! Oh, California. And the sales tax was just recently raised. I didn't like 8.25%, but I miss even those days(it's now 9.75%! x.x)
But I've also been meeting up with some friends. And I have been getting more Starbucks than I usually ever get. I always usually avoid it, even when I was in England, even during my life BEFORE England. So, it's weird. I miss Costa and Cafe Nero! But here and there I see Diedrich Coffee--my favorite coffee place in Irvine! Love that place. OH here I go talking about coffee again.
Anyway, I've been following Michael Jackson's story on the news ever since TMZ reported he was rushed to the hospital. The mania isn't dying down here; it's amazing how people flew from any part of the world for him. I wasn't a hardcore fan but he was always in the background in my life, and I would know the words to his songs. And if I didn't hear his songs from the man himself, I heard them through other songs, movies, tv.. everything. I mean, even McFly covered "Black or White" on their arena tour(yeah, I mentioned McFly :P). So yeah, what that man did was legendary, regardless of how much he was battered, bruised, and beaten by the media. RIP Michael Jackson.
Soo.. so much stuff happened, but I never felt obligated to take any pictures! I need a camera. Actually, I do have a batch of pictures somewhere.. should upload them sometime.. when I'm not lazy.. haha. Hey everybody in England, hope the heat isn't torturing you! It's probably just as hot here, even I'm feeling it!
Lastly, Happy Independence Day to the U.S.! Because of this past year, I will always remember why the year 1776 was so important, haha. :) Have a great day! xx
